Jennifer Hudson lands Avon deal
Posted on March 8th, 2007The American Idol cast off has had a good few months for herself. She took home some very nice awards for Dreamgirls and now she has picked up an endorsement deal with one of the best known cosmetic companies in the world.
Avon Products said today it had signed Hudson, who won this year’s Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role in the musical Dreamgirls, as spokeswoman for its Imari brand and new scent, Imari Seduction.
“This is an honour for me and very flattering,” said Hudson, whose dreams of stardom appeared shattered when she finished seventh on the US television talent show American Idol in 2004.
The Imari line is the best selling line for Avon so I could probably endorse it and it would sell. This is a nice deal for Hudson and we will have to see if she can parlay her Oscar into another film role where she can shine. I am not sold on Hudson being a leading lady and she just might end up being a one hit wonder in the film world. Get all the money you can now Jennifer!

Your comments are awful – you come across as being jealous. Start supporting other women. This is just one of many reasons why men don’t respect women – because of women like you!!! Jen might have not won the grand prize on American Idol, and so what. God had something greater in store for her. She is an Oscar, and a Golden Globe winner, she has signed a record contract with Clove Davis – one of the best individuals to be connected with in the music industry, she has just signed a contract with one of the biggest leading beauty companies – Avon. And the list just goes on and on…. you are just jealous of Jen’s success. Tell me, what have you accomplished lately?

First of all I don’t think I said anything in that post that was mean or spiteful. It is an honest post talking about a actress/singer that has had success in one film role and will now be linked to it for life. That one song will carry her for awhile, but until she follows it up she hasn’t proven much. There are plenty of one hit wonders that have had one big movie role or song and then just faded out.
Secondly I am a guy:)
