The sad story or Britney Spears doesn’t show signs of a happy ending anytime soon if recent reports out of California are true.  The once sultry blonde pop princess has apparently attempted to take her own life at the Promises Rehabilitation Facility.

Spears broke down in rehab, reportedly trying to hang herself with a bedsheet after screaming “I am the anti-christ” to frightened staff.

She made the demonic cry after scrawling the devil’s number “666″ across her head.

How Spears can make such attempts when she should be under a close watch amazes me.  These celebrity “rehab” centers seem like they are nothing more than a secluded hotel for young Hollywood.  If Spears is having such a tough time why is she out shopping the other day?  Couldn’t that time have been better spent getting some therapy or spending time with her kids?  This is just a sad story.
