Celebridiot Movie Review – Little Miss Sunshine

Posted on August 8th, 2006

The story of a slightly dysfunctional family making a road trip in an old VW bus so the youngest child can compete in the Little Miss Sunshine Beauty Pageant.  I had not heard much about this film and was dragged to it by my fiance, but it was one of the best films I have seen this year.  This movie had the most original and quirky story line since Napoleon Dynamite.  Steve Carell was impressive playing the depressed suicidal uncle and Greg Kinnear shows why he is such a respected actor.   Since this film is in such limited release you might not have it in your area at the moment, but when you get the chance do yourself a favor and go enjoy this picture.

Starring: Steve Carell, Greg Kinnear, Toni Collette, Alan Arkin, Paul Dano
Directed by: Valerie Faris, Jonathan Dayton
Produced by: Jeb Brody, Michael Beugg, David T. Friendly
